A BSF trooper was killed after Pakistan Rangers resorted unprovoked firing on the International Border in Samba district of Jammu on Wednesday. "Pakistan Rangers resorted to unprovoked firing on the Regal border outpost of BSF in Samba district of Jammu region," a senior police officer told IANS in winter capital Jammu. "A BSF trooper was killed in Pakistan firing, which is still going on (around 1.45 pm). BSF has effectively retaliated," the police officer added. The trooper has not been identified yet. The trooper was killed after BSF troops foiled an infiltration bid along border. The death of the trooper comes a day after Union Defence Minister   Manohar Parrikar   asked the forces to retaliate to Pakistani firing "with double force." The minister told journalists on Tuesday night that Indian troops do not breach the 2003 ceasefire between India and Pakistan in Jammu and Kashmir, IANS reported.   "I would say, don't agitate,

FINALLY MSD RETIRED FROM TEST CRICKET Mahendra Singh Dhoni, India’s most successful captain, has retired from Test cricket, ending one of the most exciting and eventful decades of Test cricket played by an Indian cricketer. Virat Kohli, who led India against Australia in the first Test of the current series, would take over for the fourth Test match in Sydney. Dhoni would continue to lead India in One-day and Twenty20 Internationals.   Shortly after the end of the third Test against Australia in Melbourne, his 90th overall and 60th as captain, Dhoni’s retirement from all Test cricket was announced by the Indian cricket board (BCCI) through a press release.

AP/PTI AirAsia plane debris, bodies found After three days of intense search, debris of the missing AirAsia aircraft carrying 162 persons was found today in the Java Sea off Indonesia but only three bodies have been retrieved so far as mystery remained over the cause of the crash. Only three bodies have been retrieved and not 40 as previously stated by naval officials, Indonesia's National Search and Rescue Agency chief Bambang Soelistyo said late tonight, amid fading hopes of finding any survivors. The bodies — two women and a man — were spotted along with debris floating in the Java Sea off the Indonesian part of Borneo, close to the area where contact was lost with the aircraft on Sunday morning.

Dense fog enveloped Delhi on Tuesday, delaying as many as 89 trains. According to the officials, six trains were cancelled. According to the Northern Railway, 79 trains were running late due to fog, while 10 trains were rescheduled and six were cancelled.
