Gogle talk will shut down on February 16 ,2015

The famous Gtalk messenger will soon shut down and will be replaced by Google's new Hangouts service. According to Google the messenger service will come to an end on February 16,2015. The news was broadcasted by Google in a message asking the people who are still using the Gtalk to shift to the newer Google Hangouts. Those who will not make the change themselves, will be automatically upgraded to Hangouts on the specified date.
Google had initiated the shift since the launch of Hangouts and also suggested people to download the new messaging platform instead of the dated Gtalk service. One of the main reasons people are hesitant to move to Hangouts is that it takes much longer to load and does not work on slower internet connections. The Indian users of Gtalk might not appreciate Google's shift to Hangouts due to slower data speeds as compared to many other countries.
Google is facing threat from Facebook owned Whatsapp, which recently pushed out a Web version of the application. Whatsapp is more suited to the Indian market as it even works on 2G speeds and has a broad user base of over 700 million users, something that the other apps don't quite offer.
