Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal re-launches anti-corruption helpline number 1031

Delhi Chief Minister <a href="http://indiatoday.intoday.in/people/arvind-kejriwal/17736.html">Arvind Kejriwal</a>Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday re-launched the anti-corruption helpline number 1031 to help people register their complaints if they are harassed for bribes.
Fighting corruption was one of the key poll planks of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in the run-up to the Assembly elections.
This helpline number was first launched by the party during their 49-day stint in power in 2013. The number was re-launched on Sunday by Kejriwal at a public event.
On Sunday, the Kejriwal-led government completed its 50-day in office.


"Last time our party was in power for 49 days, we had launched this helpline. We are re-launching it today," Kejriwal said.
The 24/7 helpline number is both for English and Hindi.
A group of volunteers will mend the helpline who will also direct the callers on how to conduct sting operations. These investigations will be handled by the anti-corruption branch of Delhi government.
"Let people do sting videos. If you have not done anything wrong there is no need to fear," Kejriwal said, adding "We have the courage to take action against our own party members if they are wrong."
"During Anna movement, we had passion to make India corruption free; after 49-days of governance we have the confidence to do it," Kejriwal said.
"We do what we say but we don't believe in sloganeering," he said.
He said that his government's two most important issues are electricity and water.
