Man fractures thumb tendon playing Candy Crush Saga

While in the Metro or Local train, you might have seen a lot of people staring at a super-colourful, candy-filled screen, swiping like crazy in all directions. The game is called Candy Crush and a lot of people have spent the better part of their life trying to surpass their own high score.
A report from CNET might prove to be the alarming call for people suffering from the Candy Crush addiction. According to the report, a 29 year old man from California has fractured the tendons on his left hand thumb after a prolonged Candy Crush session. Using the word "prolonged" in this case can be much of an understatement as the report claims that the person played Candy Crush all day for 6 to 8 weeks. The pain developed in the same hand which he used for day-long sessions of the game.
The man did not report any pain while playing the game but it became evident only after he stopped. The doctors found that his thumb tendon was ruptured and it was the thickest part of the tendon that was ruptured.
It seems the game needs a new set of health-related disclaimers to deal with cases like these. There have been a lot of hoax reports of Candy Crush rehabilitation centres but considering this new case it won't be a bad idea to work on such a business.
