Rain in Kolkata ahead of India-Pakistan clash

The word from Kolkata is that it has been raining since morning with the match scheduled to start at the Eden Gardens at 19:30 local time.

This is would be the last thing one would want to hear hours before the start to an epic clash between India and Pakistan in World Twenty20. The word from Kolkata is that it has been raining since morning with the match scheduled to start at the Eden Gardens at 19:30 local time.
Moreover, the Kolkata MET department has predicted rain and thundershowers in the evening. The groundsmen are not taking any chances ahead of this high-profile clash and have covered the entire ground. The India-Pakistan marquee clash was scheduled to be played in Dharamsala earlier, but due to security reasons was moved to Kolkata. (History favours India, but Pakistan are favourites )
If the match had remained in Dharamsala, there was strong chance of it getting washed out. The reason being, the mountain town was hit by a strong hailstorm accompanied by heavy rain in the morning.
The match is crucial from India's point of view after losing their first match against New Zealand and the host nation being in a must-win situation.
