Samsung to launch new phone on March 31, could be Galaxy J3 (2016)

Samsung is all set to launch an all-new phone in the Indian market on March 31, and by the looks of it, it will be geared almost exclusively towards bikers. As part of its teaser campaign -- #TapKickVroom -- the company claims the unnamed phone will 'change the way users ride.' Samsung is also running a contest where three lucky winners (selected through a lucky draw) stand a chance to get the phone for free.

Details about the phone are all but scarce at the moment as the company is maintaining a tight secrecy around it. That said, a number of reports doing the rounds on internet suggest that the phone in question could be the Galaxy J3 (2016). The phone is already available for buy in the US at a price tag of $179 (which roughly translates to Rs.11,917).
As for its target audience, the Galaxy J3 (2016) will reportedly come with a 'Bike Mode' that's basically a feature that would mute the phone and automatically send a text to the caller to try calling later. The feature (when enabled) should help 'bikers' to concentrate on the road ahead and not be distracted by incoming calls. That's one way of putting it. And it's certainly not something that the company has confirmed of yet. So we advise you to take this piece of information with a pimch of salt.
As for specifications, the Galaxy J3 (2016) comes with a 5-inch HD Super AMOLED display with a 1280 x 720 pixels resolution and a 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor with 1.5GB RAM under the hood. It comes with 16GB of internal memory which is further expandable by up to 128GB via microSD card. It runs Android 5.1 Lollipop-based TouchWiz UI.
The Galaxy J3 (2016) boasts of a 5-megapixel camera on the rear with LED flash and autofocus, along with a 2-megapixel camera on the front. The dualSIM phones uses a 2,600mAh battery and supports 4G LTE.
