Panasonic on Thursday launched the T50 budget phone in the Indian market at a price of Rs.4,990. The T50 is a 3G-enabled budget phone which "prioritises ease of use during app usage and data consumption," according to the company.

The Panasonic T50 comes with a 4.5-inch IPS FWVGA display with a 480 x854 pixels resolution. It is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor (unspecified chipset) coupled with 1GB RAM and 8GB of internal memory which is further expandable by up to 32GB via microSD card slot.
The phone is based on Android 5.1 Lollipop with Panasonic's custom Sail UI on top. The software comes with features like batch arranging to group multiple apps into batches like genre and frequency of use, headers for app management and gesture controls.
It sports a 5-megapixel camera on the rear with LED Flash along with a 2-megapixel camera on the front.
Connectivity options include: Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and 3G. The phone is backed by a 1,600mAh battery.

The UI is even integrated into a specialised SAIL camera. It is an app-driven smartphone which combines 3G connectivity and multi-app smoothness for a flawless user experience in a handheld device," Pankaj Rana, business head, Mobility Division, Panasonic India said.
