Ever since the release of Baahubali: The Beginning, this question has been drilling holes in the brains of audiences and fans across the nation. And this query has become an inevitable part of all the interviews of SS Rajamouli. 

The director in a recent interview, which has been uploaded on the official YouTube channel of Dharma Productions, has answered to this inevitable question. When asked why Kattappa killed Baahubali, the director came with a funny and simple answer that might not suffice the fan's curiosity. Nevertheless, the answer seems pretty rational. SS Rajamouli said that Kattappa killed Baahubali because 'he told him to do so'.

So, it seems like the real answer that audiences seek will be revealed only after the release of the second part of the film, Baahubali: The Conclusion, which is slated to hit the screen in 2017.

The director has also shared several other interesting facts about the making of the film. He said that the biggest challenge that he faced during the making of Baahubali is maintaining the energy of the crew and cast of the film.

Baahubali: The Begining is an epic drama that follows the story of two cousin brothers, who fight over a mythical kingdom. The film has an ensemble cast of Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty and Tamannaah.
