Snapdeal now selling TVS Motor two-wheelers

After tying up with companies like Hero Motors and Piaggio, e-commerce platform Snapdeal has now partnered with TVS Motors to sell their motorcycles and scooters online. Nine two-wheeler products from TVS Motor Company will be available on Snapdeal. Customers will now be able to select model, color and dealership of their choice on Snapdeal Motors platform.
Snapdeal also works in partnership with companies like Mahindra and Mahindra, Maruti Suzuki and Datsun to sell four-wheelers.
"Two-wheelers from TVS Motor Company, one of India's most popular auto manufacturers, are a great addition to our offerings in the automobiles category. We were the first online marketplace in India to introduce this category and have built a dedicated Motors platform to provide an intuitive and seamless buying experience. We are excited to bring more options online for our customers through this partnership," Tony Navin, senior vice president, partnerships and strategic initiatives, Snapdeal said.
To purchase bikes, customers will have to first enter their area pin code to check if the particular model which they are looking for is available at the nearby location or not. Buyers can then look through the various dealerships and pick one which they find convenient and then proceed further with either payment or apply for loan option given on the portal.
"We are excited to partner with Snapdeal to expand our reach with online channel for our 2 wheelers. With Snapdeal's extensive reach and a robust technology platform, we see immense value in our partnership," JS Srinivasan, vice president, sales and services, TVS Motor Company said.
Recently e-commerce platform Flipkart also joined the race of selling automobiles online. However, this trend was initiated by Snapdeal with launch of Snapdeal Motors platform in November 2015. Users can make online booking and also apply for bank loan approvals through the website.
