Now you can share files on WhatsApp

After introducing new emojis, including the controversial middle finger, Facebook-owned WhatsApp has now rolled out an update that will help users share PDF files through the messaging app. For now only PDFs can be shared, though it is possible that WhatsApp could be working to add support for more file types.
To share PDF files users will have to update the WhatsApp to its latest version, which is available through the Google Play Store and the company's own website.
WhatsApp recently introduced several updates to the app in order to make it more user-friendly and popular. It is also facing tough competition from some other chat apps and the latest updates have been added to make the app more feature-competitive with apps like WeChat.
This is the second update rolled out by the company in less than a week. A few days ago WhatsApp had introduced the shared link history tab and more prominent "clear chat" options to take better control over the links shared in one-to-one or group chats.
The app, in its earlier updates, had also introduced features like starred message through which you could mark your important messages. The update also allows users to keep a backup of their chats and videos on Google drive. WhatsApp had recently announced that it had now reached a user base of one billion.
