This two-legged 'bunny cat' is winning Instagram

Image
Lovingly called Roux, this little kitty was christened Lil' Bunny Sue Roux Hendrickson Deak Akey, after being adopted by Jackie Deak Akey who works in a vet clinic.   This Siamese mix was born with a little bobtail and two legs due to a rare congenital abnormality. Roux just celebrated her first birthday in April with older sister cats Kona and Graybee.   In an interview with   Meowbox , Jackie (Roux's owner) explained that Roux could move very fast when she wanted to. She said, "Roux has adapted her special walk by not just walking on her back paws but by keeping the lowest portion of her hind legs flat for more balance, like a kangaroo. Her nubs swing back and forth while she walks but they do not touch the ground. When she wants to move quickly or play (her favorite move is to run after and tackle her sister Graybee) she hops with both back legs in unison like a rabbit."   In the same interview, Jackie also revealed that though Roux doesn't see

Pilot orders pizzas for grumpy passengers on delayed flight

Pizza delivered to the aircraft via baggage cart seemed to cheer everyone up, according to their social media posts. Flight delays can make passengers grumpy but not when the pilot orders pizzas for them as a treat and that too on the runway. That is exactly what a Delta Airlines pilot did to calm angry passengers, when the airline's plane bound for Atlanta from Philadelphia was diverted to Knoxville, Tennessee, because of storms. As torrential rains swept through Atlanta on Tuesday afternoon, some flights were delayed arriving at one of the world's busiest airport and Delta's home base. Pizza delivered to the aircraft via baggage cart seemed to cheer everyone up, according to their social media posts. "We are sitting on a runway stuck on a @Delta flight because of weather," tweeted @RileyVasquez. "So they're throwing us a pizza party!" "Delta continues with class," tweeted @BillyTheKidWitt. "Stuc

Islamic State claimed responsibility for a bombing that killed four people at a Shia Muslim mosque in eastern Saudi Arabia on Friday, the second attack claimed by the Sunni militant group in a week in the world's top oil-exporting country. The Interior Ministry said a car exploded outside al-Anoud mosque in Dammam during noon prayers on Friday, while witnesses said a suicide bomber disguised as a woman blew himself up in the mosque's parking lot when guards stopped him from entering. The ministry said four people were killed in the blast, which set several cars ablaze. Residents circulated pictures of the body of a man believed to be the suicide bomber as well as pictures of black clouds of smoke billowing over a parking lot outside the mosque. Video posted on social media showed the congregation inside the mosque reacting with shock and alarm to the noise of the explosion outside the building. An Islamic State statement named the suic

Mumbai Indians owner Nita Ambani. Mumbai Indians celebrates IPL title The quality of cricket not withstanding, IPL stands out from international cricket for the presence of its star owners. At the inception of the IPL, there were stories galore of how the owners would be too demanding of the cricketers. With the passage of time, the owners have come to terms with the need for patience to produce results in sport. It took Mumbai Indians six years to win their first IPL. After beating Chennai Super kings at the Eden Gardens in 2013, they have now done it all over again, at the same place, against the same opposition in 2015. Speaking exclusively to India Today, team owner Nita Ambani drives home the point of how the owners stood by the team even when the chips were down. "The first four games didn't go our way. It's not easy to digest four losses. We were wondering what was going wrong in the dressing room but the team stayed together and that ul

Cannes 2015: Stars turn up the heat at amfAR Gala

Image
Held at Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc, the 22nd edition of amfAR's Cinema Against AIDS Gala was sheer grandeur and gorgeousness. From Aishwarya turning into a lavender dream to Eva doing it dainty with lace, here's how your favourite stars decked up for the big night. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan owned the Elie Saab ensemble from the label's Spring 2014 Couture collection. Not a fan of matching eyeshadow but it seemed to work well on the actress with this particular creation. Good one, L'Oreal. After eyeing the red carpet like a hawk, hungry for a sighting of Marchesa, singer Rita Ora finally delivered but it's fair to say that the look failed to hit the mark. Neither the styling nor the hair worked for Rita who donned a piece from the label's Ready-To-Wear Fall 2015 collection, paired with Giuseppe Zanotti sandals. While she kept the black sash from the ramp, she went for a more fitted silhouette than the one seen in the original design which ended up disturb
