Ambati Rayudu and Rohit Sharma played good hands under pressure to take Mumbai Indians to a thrilling win. In a game marred by stoppages due to rain, Mumbai lost their way early on in the innings. However, after the second rain break, Rohit and Rayudu played with a calm head on their shoulders to resurrect the innings. Even after Rohit was dismissed by Amit Mishra, Rayudu and Kieron Pollard held their nerve to take them home. Pollard landed the decisive blow by thwacking Mishra for a six in the final over.
Earlier, Yuvraj Singh's eye-catching knock helped DEL to post a par score. In fact, for a brief period, Yuvraj struggled to keep the scorecard moving before upping the ante. Harbhajan turned out to be the key bowler for the home team as he bowled parsimoniously and took a couple of wickets. With this victory, Mumbai are now placed fourth in the points table.
Duminy: I don't think the ball was that wet. I think we were ahead in the game with those 4 early wickets. They got the partnerships and set it up for Pollard, who is very difficult to bowl in those situations. We need to keep our heads up and keep moving forward. We need to take positives from the game. We came back well with the bat and started well with the ball. We would have taken 170-175, but to take it to the last over with that score was a good effort.
