Microsoft Lumia 540 launched in India for Rs.10,199

Microsoft on Thursday launched the Lumia 540 smartphone in India for Rs.10,199. The phone in many ways is the successor to the Lumia 535, which was launched last year in India.
The Lumia 540 features a 5-inch HD display with the ClearBlack polariser. It is powered by a 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor, an Adreno 302 GPU coupled with 1GB RAM and 8GB of internal storage. It also has a microSD card expansion slot and supports dual-SIMs.
On the back, the phone has a 8-megapixel camera and a 2,200mAh battery. On the front, the phone trots an 5-megapixel snapper for selfies.
The phone weighs 152 grams and is 9.4mm thin, which means that it is thicker than most phones in the segment.
The phone runs on Windows Phone 8.1 and will be upgradable to Windows 10 for Mobile later in the year. It will also come with a bunch of Microsoft services like Skype, Office and OneDrive in tow.
It will be available May 18 onwards.
