India’s first semi-high speed train.,ticket price starts Rs 750

In a boost to Indian Railways, Rail Minister Suresh Prabhu on Tuesday flagged off India's fastest train, the Gatimaan Express in the national capital. The semi-high speed train will run between Delhi and Agra and is expected to cruise at a top speed of 160 km per hour.
The train is likely to cover the 188-km distance between the national capital and Agra in 100 minutes. The Gatimaan Express, which is indigenously built, will run six days a week, except Friday, in both directions. It will start from the Nizamuddin station in Delhi at 8:10 AM to reach Agra at 9:50 AM. In the return direction, the train will depart from Agra at 5:50 PM to reach Nizamuddin at 7:30 PM.

The Gatimaan Express offers an assortment of onboard facilities for passengers - from cuisine and pipe music to free Wi-fi. Yet another first on the train will be stewards and hostesses on the lines of flight attendants.
Powered by a 5,400 HP electric locomotive, the non-stop train will have two Executive AC Chair cars and eight AC chair car coaches. The fare for the fully air conditioned Gatimaan Express has been fixed at Rs 750, while for the Executive class it will be Rs 1,500.
Railways will offer a variety of food items to choose from - North Indian, South Indian, Continental and health food.
Railways plans to roll out such trains on nine more routes, including Delhi-Kanpur, Delhi-Chandigarh, Hyderabad-Chennai, Nagpur-Bilaspur, Mumbai-Goa and Nagpur-Secunderabad.
