Bharatiya Janata Party's kickstarted its campaign for the upcoming Delhi assembly polls at a mega rally here on Saturday. The rally will be attended by a battery of top leaders including chief ministers of Haryana, Jharkhand and Maharashtra where the party captured power in recent elections.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be the face of BJP's campaign in the city and the party feels the rally will help it build a momentum for the election.
Launching a scathing attack on AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal, Modi said that Delhi needs development not a anarchist.
"We need development here, not anarchy. They are good at dharnas. We are good at running government," the PM said, without naming the Aam Aadmi Party.
His statement came in the wake up a comment that Kejriwal, the then Delhi chief minister, had given during a 10-day protest in last January. He had said, "Yes, I am an anarchist."
Continuing his attack on the AAP, PM Modi said, "Punish those who left you behind, who abandoned you. Those who want to sleep on footpaths, sleep there, protest. They should be given those jobs. We are proficient in running a government and therefore choose the right people for the right jobs," the PM said.

Promise to give 24-hour electricty to Delhi: Modi
Kickstarting the BJP's poll campaign for Delhi elections, he promised national capital with 24-hours supply of electricity.
"We will rid Delhi of generators. I promise you with 24 hours supply of electricity," the PM said at a mega rally at Ramlila Maidan in Delhi.
He also said the government will soon allow people to choose their electricity provider. "Citizens of Delhi will soon have the option to choose their electricity provider just like mobile phone providers," the PM added.
The rally was also attended by top leaders of the BJP including the chief ministers of Haryana, Jharkhand and Maharashtra.
Modi lauds Kashmiris for their faith in democracy
The Prime Minister also congratulated the people of Jammu and Kashmir for reposing faith in democracy by turning out in large numbers during las month's assembly elections.
Modi said that the state, which at one point of time did not record even two percent votes, saw a 65-70 percent turnout.
He said this was despite every move by separatist forces to malign India internationally.
Hinting at the earlier rule of the Hooda and the Chautala families, Modi complimented the people of Haryana for voting the Bharatiya Janata Party to power and freeing the state from dynastic politics
