Fastest Century in ODI History
South African captain AB de Villiers struck the fastest century in one-day international history with just 31 balls against the West Indies in the second ODI at the Wanderers on Sunday.
South Africa posted a record 439-2 in the match against West Indies.
De Villiers reached the three figures in just 31 balls, beating an earlier record of 100 runs in 36 balls by New Zealand's Corey Anderson in a match against West Indies in January 2014.
The feat overshadowed a remarkable innings from Hashim Amla, who batted through the innings to finish unbeaten on 153.
South Africa's score beat its previous highest ODI total of 438-9 against Australia in 2006.
